Freelancing and Working From Home

For the last 16 years I have run my own I.T. company, providing services to UK Fire Services and SME’s. I also have provided a lot of SEO consultancy to small companies.

Now we are living in Cornwall I need to be able to work more and more from home, a good friend of mine recommended Freelancer.com, I have joined this but found that a lot of the work is won by people from India etc as they are so much cheaper. Looking at the freelance market I found PeoplePerHour.com, registered and have won some work through it.

An of course after a tough day we can get in the car, drive for 25 minutes and then we are at the Beach. Wonderful place to live, highly recommended but do your research first, not everyone can work remotely.

Working from home is great if you like peace and quite to get on with your work, its also nice to still be able to go and visit customers, ourmove has added 2 hours travel time to my existing customers sites.
