Greenhouse Hydroponics

I have always wanted to try growing plants using hydroponics, the main reason is the fact that you can get a higher density in a small area. If we were to grow strawberries in the garden then we would be looking at 3 or 4 plants per square ft. Growing strawberries in horizontal hydroponics allows us to grow 4 or five times as much.

We tried Strawberries but they did not survive, switching to swiss chard and we have had good success.

A Small 30watt solar panel connected through a charge controller to an old car battery. From the battery we run a small water pump, a timer controls when the pump is on and off.
