Devon or Cornwall? How hard can it be? what could possibly go wrong?
Previous owners had planted broad beans before they left, they are growing well but the Dartmoor wind is starting the hit them. Staked them at the weekend and plenty of string to hold them up. Potatoes are in, starting to poke through the soil, First earlies. Greenhouse has seed trays for Sweetcorn, Pumpkins and Runner beans.
Continue readingOff to pickup the cats today, it will be a 2 1/5 to 3 hr trip back for them so i hope there is no traffic problems on the roads. A Sunday is a good day to travel as the traffic is lighter. Got to the cattery at 11am, they were really happy to see me, well one of them was, the other 2 sat there looking at me. Into there travel boxes, plenty of space towels, newspaper and bags in case they did a poo on the way home. Traffic was light, good trip back. The cats were very

Today is the day the furniture arrives from storage, the guys turned up at 9.30 am, worked hard and got all our stuff into the new house. Highly recommend Moores of Launceston, they did a great job.

A Wonderful Barn conversion on a farm just 3 miles from where we are moving to. Lambing time on the farm and our 2 year old Daughter is beside herself with excitement. So peaceful, dark sky’s, lovely views and best of all…. no traffic noise. Thanks to Helpful Holidays for arranging a longer term booking.

After living in Chippenham since we got married in 2004 the day has come when we will be leaving and moving to Cornwall (via temporary accommodation for 8 weeks). All of our belongings are boxed up, Cats safely in the cattery, Kids off to school and now we have to wait for the removal company and hopefully the money to be transferred. One Lorry and a Van arrived at 10am, the guys got stuck in, everything loaded by just after midday. Phone call from Solicitors to say the money had all transferred and the sale had completed ok. Putting the cats into the cattery is a good idea so they don’t get distressed while he box everything up, then they can come to the new house once we have sorted a lot of it out. As we will be in holiday accommodation for 8 weeks they need to stay for a long time. They have been there before so the owner knows them. We can highly recommend : Just Cats Boarding Cattery just outside of Trowbridge in Wiltshire. Gonna miss the little monkeys but its best for them.

Continue readingFirst of all today a 6 Bedroom Bungalow, very nice but lots of road noise and possible flooding issues. Not for us. Second, a nice bungalow with some land and stunning views. We need a guest room / play room and this house would need to be extended, assuming we could get planning permission it would be too small to move straight into. Did not see next property, run out of time and found out that the land next to it hand planning for a lot of new houses. Not for us…
